Maintenance call ignites emotional standoff
About ten of us tried to talk the owners out of accepting the smart meter after their meter glass cracked and Hydro insisted they didn’t have any more analogue or digital meters left to replace it. The owners were insistent that they didn’t want a smart meter (they even had a meter lock in place) BUT Corix lied and said
1) There are no other analogues or digital meter available
2) We will cut off your power if you refuse the smart meter
3) They do not emit Radio Frequency microwave radiation (which Chris Anderson was able to disprove with his RF reader right after the meter was installed)
The Corix and Hydro guy tried to leave at that point but we blocked their vehicles…The property owners were angry and upset that they had been lied to.
BE WARNED THAT THEY WILL USE THE SAME TACTICS ON YOU IN SEPTEMBER.
We have heard that Corix have cancelled installation this month because they were worried about FIRES which (believe me) are going to be a real problem here with all the west coast wooden homes and cabins.
