A radar system consists of a\u00a0<a title=\"Transmitter\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Transmitter\">transmitter<\/a>\u00a0producing\u00a0<a title=\"Electromagnetic wave\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Electromagnetic_wave\">electromagnetic waves<\/a>\u00a0in the radio or\u00a0<a title=\"Microwave\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microwave\">microwaves<\/a>\u00a0domain, a transmitting\u00a0<a title=\"Antenna (radio)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antenna_(radio)\">antenna<\/a>, a receiving antenna (often the same antenna is used for transmitting and receiving) and a\u00a0<a title=\"Radio receiver\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Radio_receiver\">receiver<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"Data processing system\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Data_processing_system\">processor<\/a>\u00a0to determine properties of the object(s).
