Safecast is a brand of geiger counter developed by a citizens group in Japan. \u00a0After several version they have a successful portable geiger that sends wireless data to the internet. \u00a0No mater what brand of geiger counter you have, you can post data to their excellent website. \u00a0Some postings are mobile, some mounted live feeds.<\/p>\n

“bGeigie”\u00a0by Safecast<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Most geiger counter meters can send data to computers, but SAFE CAST recently posted a meter that\u00a0they have been working on for several years<\/a>\u00a0called the\u00a0“<\/strong><\/a>bGeigie Raku<\/em>“<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>that can send GPS data and can be mounted on cars for mobile readings. \u00a0It has been\u00a0used for\u00a0testing in Vancouver (see below). \u00a0Older Safecast Nano versions are\u00a0available<\/a><\/strong>, but the official Raku version is on\u00a0Kickstart<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Their stationary meters can give live readings via cellphones<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 and their\u00a0new mobile version<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0can record the data to a card, then you can\u00a0upload it to their database<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
