In our search for information on the cell tower rescue done near McClintock Middle School, we found out a strange series of stories about \u00a0children who became sick after being outside. They had symptoms of <strong>headaches, fainting and passing out<\/strong>. This are all common symptoms from <strong>overexposure to microwave radiation from cell towers.<\/strong>We ask that this be researched. Please see facts and news stories below.<br \/>\nThe Cell Tower directly next to the school is registered as a Sprint\/Crown Castle Cell Tower\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.antennasearch.com\/\">according to Antennae Search<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children were sick after being outside.<\/li>\n<li>The school says it was &#8220;heat related&#8221; which is odd as it was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">February<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Could the antennae power been turned up higher on these days by accident?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not know what caused these students to become ill but hope that this questions have been fully explored.<\/p>\n<p><b>NEWS STORIES<\/b><br \/>\n<b>&#8216;CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) \u00a0News: Workers Rescued From Cell Tower<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Firefighters responded to a high-angle rescue involving two workers who were stuck on top of a cell tower in south Charlotte Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>The rescue happened just before 10 p.m. on the 1900 block of Rama Road (<b>1925 Rama Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212 )\u00a0<\/b>near McClintock Middle School. Officials said the people who were trapped were subcontractors working on the tower.<\/p>\n<p>The subcontractors were doing maintenance on the tower when the incident occurred.<\/p>\n<p>Police said one of the workers was reportedly<strong> unconscious<\/strong> because of a medical issue. Earlier in the year students were mysteriously sick from &#8220;heat related illness&#8221; in February. Yes February. Could there be a connection? The students were released to their parents.<\/p>\n<p>A mother leaving the school told Channel 9 anchor Blaine Tolison that her child was sick for a second day in a row. This is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wccbcharlotte.com\/related-entities?eid=4255338351&amp;ename=Mark%20McHugh&amp;lang=en\">Mark McHugh<\/a>\u00a0with a follow-up message about our student illnesses and precautionary measures we are taking at our school.<\/p>\n<p>As you may be aware, we have had a number of students over the past two days to become ill with virus-like symptoms, including nausea, dizziness and light-headedness, and low-grade fever.\u00a0 Twenty-three (23) students and one adult were checked by our team\u2019s nursing supervisor and medic crews today.\u00a0 At this time, we do not know the cause of the illness. While on campus, fire department crews checked carbon monoxide levels and found everything to be normal. Our school is also seeking guidance and monitoring from the Mecklenburg County Health Department\u2019s Communicable Disease and Environmental Health Divisions.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, our school\u2019s HVAC system was being repaired and not functioning properly to cool the 6th-grade wing of the building. Many of our student illnesses appeared to have been heat related at that time.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wccbcharlotte.com\/related-entities?eid=2781195630&amp;ename=CMS%20Building%20Services&amp;lang=en\">CMS Building Services<\/a>\u00a0completed the HVAC repair by\u00a0Thursday\u00a0afternoon.\u00a0 As a proactive measure, building services also thoroughly cleaned the 6th-grade section of the building last night; additional cleaning efforts will continue this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Parents of students who were ill were contacted and children were dismissed into the care of parents or guardians. All other dismissals were as scheduled this afternoon and afternoon activities will take place.<\/p>\n<p>We will keep you updated if we receive any new information during the weekend. If your child has symptoms of fever, dizziness or nausea, please contact your health-care provider.\u00a0 As always, if your child has fever or vomiting, please keep them home until 24 hours symptom-free.<\/p>\n<p>If you have additional questions, don\u2019t hesitate to contact me.\u00a0 Thank you for your support of McClintock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>_____<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: More students experienced nausea and vomiting while attending McClintock Middle School. \u00a0On Thursday, a dozen students were treated for illness.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, MEDIC was called to the school as eight more student were having the same symptoms. \u00a0The principal said a cause for the illness has not been determined at this time.<\/p>\n<p>The school is asking parents to not come to the school to pick up their child unless they have been contacted by school officials.<\/p>\n<p>_____<\/p>\n<p>CHARLOTTE, NC \u2014 Officials are trying to determine exactly what may have caused a dozen students to fall ill at McClintock Middle School Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>According to CMS, a dozen students were treated by Charlotte Fire and Medic crews after they reported feeling dizzy and lightheaded. One student fainted, officials say, and 2 were taken to the hospital as a precaution.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, officials believe the illnesses to be heat related due to the warmer temperatures.
