Wireless companies are required to work closely with municipalities and involve the public when they need to build a new cell tower.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-async=\"\">Concerns around proximity to green space, residential-dense neighbourhoods, schools and more have been sticking points in the past when it comes to deciding where this type of infrastructure they should go. Bob Hawkins (Ward 2) said at the time. \u201cThat\u2019s where we as councillors have a choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Of the four sites in question, two would be used to replace existing nearby cell towers with larger structures that could handle the equipment needed for a 5G network.
