Research has documented crown damage in trees from the radiation from cell towers and scientific reviews show that plants are sensitive.<\/p>\n

Electromagnetic (EMF) frequencies have been found to alter the growth and development of plants.\u00a0 Studies on wireless EMF frequencies have found physiological and morphological changes<\/a>, increased micronuclei formation<\/a>, altered growth<\/a> as well as adverse cell characteristics<\/a> such as thinner cell walls and smaller mitochondria.\u00a0 Plants perceive <\/a>and respond to electromagnetic fields .<\/p>\n

A field study that monitored over 100 trees for 9 years entitled \u200b\u200bRadiofrequency radiation injures trees around mobile phone base stations<\/a> published in Science of the Total Environment found a high level of damage to trees in the vicinity of phone masts\u00a0 (Waldmann-Selsam 2016)<\/a>. The authors conclude that \u201cdeployment has been continued without consideration of environmental impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
