New Telus antennas “Smart Cells” or “Small Cells” have been installed in British Columbia called “eNodeB” (eNB) by Huawei ( Micro BTS Model # BTS3902E ) and the single antenna version Huawei AtomCell BTS3911E (with integrated MIMO antenna)
According to Telus, they are for 4G LTE Cellular Phone Service.
5G is being tested here in Vancouver Canada, Telus and Huawei now call the Next generation gigabit NodeB (gNB) or gNodeB
On these antennas it clearly says “FIBER OPTICS”, which appears to be for both cellular and Telus Optik TV.
If correct, that is high speed fiber optics almost to your front door.. but who wants cellular antennas there too? No one does.
Is Telus installing both systems on telephone poles to compete with Shaw?
Microcell towers often are located at the highest point in the area to act as a Hub for the LTE Network.
There are over 30 towns in BC with these, some since 2014, and many more installed in 2016 / 2017.
Towns with challenges for Telus, such as streets on hill sides may have up to five of these antennas, which are very strong and constant microwave signals.
Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Sunshine Coast are some of the other areas where these antennas have been found.
Residents close to these antennas are concerned about their health. RF Testing revealed the strength of these antennas is very strong.
” Range of small cells is 100-150 meters. (500 Feet)
Uses about 120W.
Operate on two frequencies:
1900 MHz (UMTS – 3G technology) and 2100 MHz (LTE – 4G technology).”

Small Cell Antenna designs vary across the world as each company creates their own Small Cells.
Even here in Canada, Telus and Bell have used various versions of Small Cell antennas,
each new one being smaller then the previous version.

ARE THEY 5G or NOT?
After Verizon released a video about their Ericsson 5G nodes, it appears that the Huawei Micro BTS very well could be part of the first stage of 5G (even though its said to be “4G LTE”). From the outside, the boxes appear to be almost the same, and they are both mounted on telephone poles, light poles or cellular towers. Telus did say that they can be easily upgraded to 5G.
“…the strategy has been a combination of small cells with massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antennas to increase coverage.
Small cell deployment will be so extensive that the Small Cell Forum predicts 5G small cell will overtake 4G small cells by 2024.
The total installed base of 5G or multimode small cells will reach 13.1 million by 2025, constituting more than one-third of the total small cells in use.”

FIBRE OPTICS
This information, along with the many studies and articles about 5G that have been in SSMBC updates,
should be given to every mayor, councillor and regional trustee. There is no need to bend
to the corporate (Telus) push to have these things in front of our homes. Wireless is not the best
means of providing fast internet.
Fiber optic cable right to the home without any wireless component provides
faster, more efficient, more private, more secure (harder to hack) and it doesn’t irradiate.
It is possible for communities to have their own network to provide faster, safer, more secure service
that they own and control — using fiber optic cable. And this service can be owned by the community
with residents paying for service. A real win-win for local governments and their constituents.
Many Canadian communities have done it already.

I don’t think it’s accurate to say no one wants these. Lots of people do. They want better coverage and faster data speeds. Those concerned about EMR don’t want them, whereas ythose unconcerned about EMR are either indifferent or do want them.

Steven, we suggest you review our most recent video with high radiation measurements https://emrabc.ca/?page_id=9288

The very fact that this technology is forced on the general public who have not been adequately informed of the health ramifications is completely unacceptable. RF radiation is not suitable for anybody at the high levels coming from smart meters and all smart technology; from phones to appliances, cell phone towers, WiFi, computers, battery operated vehicles, blue tooth, etc. We are being completely surrounded by it. For the sake of our species and those of animals and plants, ENOUGH ALREADY. We need safer technology and if we can scale back the greed component involved, this is doable.

This is a very dangerous and stupid technology. People need to be made aware of what it means. A Canadian poll showed over 70% of Canadians are afraid of the high levels of RF.
People are acting in the US, no one even knows this is happening here.

It is possible, incase you have not viewed this clip , which is featured in the documentary “Take Back Your Power”, this talks about that concern which may apply to more then just RF from smart meters, but possibly also Small Cell Antennas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRDhogkdxW4
