Many are considering purchasing a portable power bank station incase of a blackout or for out door activities, such as camping to enjoy the fresh air and get away from the city and wireless smog. However many of these devices have wireless built into the new models. Once they are powered up, the “Monitor and Control – Smart App” using WIFI and Bluetooth start searching for a cellular phone. In some brands they have these controls using wireless. Many EHS people may not have a phone handy to turn these wireless functions off, (that is if these Apps actually do turn the wireless off)
Some of our research people have reported back to us with their findings. One model had wireless that would not turn off, even with help from the manufacturer, it would not turn off. So beware of this if people with EHS will be near these devices.
On a positive note, two of the handful of popular brands do claim that the WIFI and Bluetooth will indeed turn entirely Off if needed by holding certain buttons. If you know of brands not mentioned here that features a fully controllable wireless On and Off switch, please share in the comments.
