I was frequently overexposed to cell tower radiation while working as a tower climber.
This video is one of my many firsthand accounts, combined with interviews from top RF experts – exposing how climbers are left with all the risk, while industry and regulators deflect liability and responsibility.
What makes it worse: equipment is often turned back on remotely after being shut off — leaving workers directly in front of live antennas or on the lines with no warning.
This is common across the industry because the system is stacked against climbers:
• Hazards completely out of their control
• Poor or nonexistent training
• Network operation centers remotely powering antennas back on without notice
• A structure that sacrifices worker safety to protect corporations
