The Kryptopterus bicirrhis (glass catfish) is known to respond to electromagnetic fields (EMF). Here we tested its avoidance behavior in response to static and alternating magnetic fields stimulation. Using expression cloning we identified an electromagnetic perceptive gene (EPG) from the K. bicirrhis encoding a protein that responds to EMF. This EPG gene was cloned and expressed in mammalian cells, neuronal cultures and in rat’s brain.
By Darrian Matassa-Fung Global News Posted January 26, 2024 BC. government officials, including B.C. Premier David Eby, held a press conference on Friday to discuss the dangers to kids, especially elementary-aged students, of having access to phones while at school. Eby said schools are not equipped to monitor what content young students are watching, especially […]
The Internet of Things (IoT) based Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN), play a very important role in the implementation of IoT devices. It is an upcoming research area in which we implement new advancement techniques, such as various algorithms. In this research, we explore how to secure IoT devices from cyber-attacks and also define how to handle the communication packets between IoT devices. Some IoT devices require more resources for communication so we define the techniques used to reduce these resources. The main purpose of this review is to provide a quick review of all techniques for novice researcher who wants to start their research in this domain.

Wireless data traffic has experienced an unprecedented boost in past years, and according to data traffic forecasts, within a decade, it is expected to compete sufficiently with wired broadband infrastructure. Therefore, the use of even higher carrier frequency bands in the THz range, via adoption of new technologies to equip future THz band wireless communication systems at the nanoscale is required, in order to accommodate a variety of applications, that would satisfy the ever increasing user demands of higher data rates. Certain wireless applications such as 5G and beyond communications, network on chip system architectures, and nanosensor networks, will no longer satisfy speed and latency demands with existing technologies and system architectures.

5G is being rolled out all over the world, but information from the media about potential health risks has been sparse. The harmful effect has even been claimed to be non-existent by a long line of entities captured by BIG Tech, such as the WHO, the EU Commission, and research institutions financed by telecommunications industry. The industry plans to add millimeter wave technology to the existing 5G, and the EU Commission is about to adopt a binding proposal enabling deployment of this 5G technology by 2025.
